How Profile Verification Works on Wizz1on1

One more thing before the details: we would rather under-promise than perform security theater. This page describes the verification that actually exists on Wizz1on1 today — nothing more. Where a stronger check does not exist, we say so plainly instead of implying it does.

The Process, Plainly

Verification on Wizz1on1 currently consists of three working parts. Profile review checks that a profile is what it presents itself to be — that the photos, details and presentation are coherent and belong to a real account rather than a lazy copy. Age eligibility checks support the platform's strict 18+ policy, so the service stays adults-only as advertised. And ongoing moderation keeps working after the badge is granted: user reports, reviews and enforcement continue over the life of a profile, so verification is not a one-time stamp that can never be revisited.

Profiles that complete the process show a visible verified badge wherever they appear — in browse lists, in search-style discovery and in conversation. The badge is designed to be easy to spot at a glance, so you can factor it into your decision before you ever send a message or accept a video call.

What Verification Is Not

Just as important is what Wizz1on1 verification does not include. There is:

• No government-ID check — nobody uploads a passport or driver's license.
• No biometric scan — no fingerprints, no faceprints, no liveness capture.
• No AI face verification — no automated matching of selfies against profile photos.
• No background check — no screening against external records or databases.

If we add stronger verification later, this page will say so. Until then, treat any third-party claim that Wizz1on1 "verifies ID" or "runs background checks" as inaccurate — and treat our own badge as what it honestly is: a meaningful but limited trust signal.

How to Weigh the Badge

Think of verification as one strong signal in a set of three: the badge, live video behavior, and your own judgment. The badge filters out the laziest fakes before you ever interact with them. Verified Badges While You Browse and Chat

You do not have to take the badge on faith in the abstract — you can see it working in the product. When you browse verified profiles, the badge shows directly on the people who are online, and filters let you narrow discovery to verified users only. Once a conversation starts, the badge stays visible, and verified video chat lets you confirm in seconds that the person on camera matches the profile you picked. Badge first, video second, judgment always.

How to Report a Suspicious or Misleading Profile

Verification only stays meaningful if the feedback loop works, and that loop runs on user reports. If a profile feels off — misleading photos, behavior that contradicts the badge, pressure, scams, anything that makes you uncomfortable — use the report and block tools available on profiles and in conversations. Blocking stops the contact immediately on your side; reporting flags the profile for moderation review, which is how profiles move from "verified" or "unverified" into "reported" and, where review confirms a violation, "suspended".
