What Verification Actually Covers
We'd rather under-promise than invent a security theater. This page describes the verification that actually exists — nothing more.
The Process, Plainly
Verification on Wizz1on1 currently consists of profile review (checking that a profile is what it presents itself to be), age eligibility checks (supporting the 18+ policy) and ongoing moderation (reports, reviews and enforcement over time). Profiles that complete the process show a visible verified badge wherever they appear.
Just as important is what it is not: there is no government-ID check, no biometric scan, no AI face verification and no background check. If we add stronger verification later, this page will say so — until then, no claims.
The Four Profile States
Verified profile
Completed the platform’s available verification process — profile review and age eligibility checks — and carries the visible badge.
Unverified profile
Has not completed the process. Not necessarily fake — but you have fewer signals, so lean more on your own judgment.
Reported profile
Flagged by one or more users and queued for moderation review. Keep your distance until the review resolves.
Suspended profile
Restricted after moderation found guideline violations. Suspended users cannot continue conversations.
How to Weigh the Badge
Think of verification as one strong signal in a set: badge + live video behavior + your own judgment. The badge filters out the laziest fakes; live 1-on-1 video makes sustained pretending expensive; and your instincts cover the rest. The verified video chat page has practical tips, and the safety guide covers what to do when something feels off.
